Types

Universal (all around) board is the most common and most popular type as they are universal paddles. They are suitable for both novice and experienced swimmers. They are suitable for swimming in rivers, lakes and in the calm sea. It is a stable board, making it easy for anyone to manage. It is designed for entertainment and short trips in the calm water bodies of your choice.

Touring paddles differ from all around paddles in the shape and larger dimensions. This type is perfect for everyday use, it is very useful for sailing longer and more complex routes. Touring is the perfect paddle board for a day or even a few days of adventure, as the board itself is slightly larger, so you can put essentials things, food, or water on it.

Racing paddles might be called a separate class of boards adapted for racing. These SUPs are long, narrow, fast, and require more of your attention, balance, and preparation, so you will develop higher speeds than with other boards, which gives you different emotions. However, these boards are not suitable for complete beginners.

The type of SUP surf boards is the shortest and most maneuverable type suitable for cutting big waves. Many enthusiasts have already tested this type of SUPs at sea. The paddle helps maintain balance and makes it easier to catch your first wave. A great choice for those who love surfing but are far from the best corners for surfing.

How to Stand Up?

You have to push the paddle into the water. Paddles can be single or multi-place. You can share these with friends and paddle together, which is much easier and safer for the first time. By pushing the paddle, you get on it in a kneeling position. You take the paddle and slowly trying to lift yourself up while keeping your balance and do not forget to paddle. If you do not feel like a good swimmer, you can ask for a life jacket and paddle it across the lake. You will also have a rope attached to your foot that will help you if you fall into the water.
